My Story:

My Mother was diagnosed with kidney cancer when I was in high school and had been complaining of flank pain for several visits. Her allopathic doctor did not catch the cancer until it had spread. All that doctor had to do was to take the time to do a complete history and abdominal exam - actually touch my mother.
This experience of almost losing my mother triggered me to naturopathic medicine. I wanted to serve and genuinely help people; not suppress their symptoms. I want to make an impact in people's life by building relationships and getting to know the individual so that I can treat the root cause of my client's illness by doing the least harm possible. Naturopathic care is about taking the time to listen, teach, and really get to know your patient on all levels. I want to be that person that provides that service because every person deserves it.
Of course every person has ups and downs in their journey. I went through a rough period of my life when I was very depressed and isolated myself. It was through this journey that I found yoga and have since never turned back. It has always been there for me and never has judged me. The mental, emotional, and spiritual impact it has made on my journey has been so impactful and rewarding that I want to share with others.
